3DS Elevated Errors: Explained

Here are some scenarios that may be visible to you due to this issue:

  1. Transactions skipping 3DS and proceeding to authorisation without authentication. 
  2. Increase in rawAcquirerResponse: "Authentication Required" for PSD2 in-scope transactions. 
  3. Transactions resulting with status: "ERROR" with  rawAcquirerResponse:"RReq not received from DS"
  4. Transactions resulting with status: "CANCELLED" if Risk rule: Liability Shift Check is configured on your merchantAccount. You can consider disabling this Risk check to avoid transaction cancellations.
