Apple Pay error 422: never authorized mass enablement transactions

If you are integrating with either drop-in, components or our API-only integration you can find troubleshooting steps here.

If you are integrating Apple Pay using SalesForce Commerce Cloud and get the following error: Never authorized mass enablement transactions - Could not start Apple Pay session: 400 Bad Request {"statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception merchantId=[merchantId] unauthorized to process transactions on behalf of merchantId=[merchantId]}

This indicates that Apple Pay has not been set up correctly on SalesForce Commerce Cloud. To solve this:

  1. Please follow the steps described in our documentation: Apple Pay Web SFCC
  2. Ensure that Domain Registration is carefully done within SFCC Business Manager, besides registering it in the Apple developer environment.

If the issue persists, please contact SFCC support.
