If you refunded a shopper by accident, unfortunately there is no way to reverse it. The best way to solve this is to ask the shopper to transfer the amount you refunded by accident again. If the shopper uses the PSP reference of the refund, it will automatically be matched in our system and show as RefundReversed in your Customer Area.
In rare cases we can re-authorize the payment, but please take the following notes into consideration:
- 3DS authenticated payments will not be 3D secured with a new authorization and there will be no liability shift.
- Chances of chargebacks are high, as the re-authorization will create a new charge on the shopper's bank account. If the shopper is not aware of this process he might initiate a chargeback.
- Re-authorizations can only be done for card payments.
