A Notification of Fraud (NoF) is fraud activity reported by the (cardholder's) bank to Adyen, with the aim to inform the merchant that the payment is not done by the genuine cardholder.
The NoF is not a dispute, and no money is withdrawn from your account and it is not possible to submit defense documents.
It can become a chargeback if there is no 3D Secure liability shift.
We suggest that merchants actively review their Notifications of Fraud list and issue proactive refunds (to avoid a chargeback) whenever appropriate.
